After starting my radio career at 940 WINE/Brookfield and KC-101/New Haven, I moved west to Colorado in the Fall of ’89 to start a new career as a Promoter for MCA Records, covering 5 states (CO, NM, WY, UT & AZ). I have lived in the greater Denver area ever since, enjoying its scenery and 320 days of sunshine annually and low humidity. Changing fortunes in the label biz led me back into radio in ‘94, joining a national Progressive Rock radio consultancy in Boulder while doing weekends in News/Talk, then full-time air work in Lite Rock (KOSI 101) and Smooth Jazz. In ‘93, I met and married my wife, Tuy-Van, a Vietnamese-born flight attendant for United, and we are the proud parents of one son, Stefan, who earned his pilot’s license in 2018 just before starting Commercial Aviation studies at Univ. of No. Dakota/Grand Forks. In 2005, I transitioned into the public sector and joined the Boulder Police Department, where I am now in Administration for the Communications section. It’s rewarding work in a busy college town with a dedicated group of professionals.

My spare time pursuits include reading, watching British TV faves w/my wife, collecting Classical music w/the money I've saved on hair care products, and running, which I took up following the passing of my sister Laurie (BHS ’76) in 2008. I have a few 10K and 5K times I’m proud of, including one 1st place M 50-59 showing in a 2017 5K (in which I was the ONLY male 50+ entrant, so…). I still hope to come East some July 4th for a John Demille Firecracker 8K!
