Here are the events that we have planned September 27-29, 2019.
- The main event is our Saturday night September 28th dinner-dance at Michael's at the Grove at 42 Vail Road in Bethel. We need a firm count to pay the venue by at most 2 weeks before the event; please register by Friday September 13th at the latest (but, if possible, earlier).
- On Friday, we are planning an informal gathering at 7p at Putnam House at 12 Depot Place in Bethel near the train station and behind Dr. Mike's.
- On Friday evening from 9p-midnight, Mike Piera's band Digital Artifacts will be playing in Danbury. Ray Campbell and Skip Swartley are joining in for this special session. It's open to the public (there may be a cover charge) but they are putting this together especially for our reunion weekend and BHS '79 folks are warmly invited. They are playing at Molly Darcy's Irish Pub and Restaurant in Danbury at 39A Mill Plain Rd. Come out early to eat there, as well, if you wish.
- On Saturday, we are planning a tour of Bethel High School at 11a. After that, there will be plenty of time before the banquet to make your own plans.
- If there is interest, we will have some sort of weather-dependent get-together perhaps at Meckauer Park or Putnam Park.
The cost of the Saturday evening dinner-dance, per person, is $55 before September 2019 and $65 as of September 1. There will be a cash bar but, otherwise, the price is all-inclusive. Please come and don't let the cost stop you; contact anybody on the reunion committee privately if you need to tap into scholarship money.
Please remember:
- We need a final count for the Saturday evening main event; please register by September 13th.
- We cannot take walks-ins on Saturday evening.
- There is no registration for the other events (though we do have an optional registration for the high school tour and live music to get a sense of numbers), so you can walk-in for any of those.
Please register even if you can't come! This will be a way for us to build a catalog of our contacts to stay in touch.
